24.05.2012 - Teachers Day Celebration
The school are having above celebration and as requested by my girl , she wants to give something to her favourite teachers. Thus, I have made these flower cookies with a DIY tag . I'm using the same horlick cookies recipe and just cut out the flower shape , stick the lidi on the flower . I have spread some jam on the surface so it can stick the sprinkles well.
Hope the teachers will like it and truely feel the appreciation from us.
For the recipe, please refer to my last post on Doggies Cookies http://dc-diary.blogspot.com/2012/05/doggies-cookies.html

Doggies Cookies
22.05.2012 : Doggy Cookies
I have been thinking for more than 2 days about the upcoming teachers day. What should I do for this event that is nice and simple. Most importantly, the kids will like it too..think ..think...Aha..finally I recall a recipe from HHB (Happy Home Blogspot) on her doggy cookies.
After reading the recipes, is so simple and yet so healthy. The receipe is sugarless and fragrant enough from the horlick powder. A little bit of sweetness from the coco crunch will satisfy the kids. Don't they look too cute to eat them??
Here's the recipe from http://happyhomebaking.blogspot.com/
Ingredients:
(makes about 48 cookies)
180g butter, soften at room temperature
80g Horlicks (original flavour)
200g top flour or cake flour
25g corn flour
25g milk powder
100g chocolate chips
some chocolate rice
some Koko Krunch
Method:
1.Pre-heat oven to 140deg C. Line baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
2.Sieve top flour, corn flour and milk powder.
3.Cream butter and Horlicks for about three minutes at low speed. Do not overbeat.
4.Put in top flour, cornflour and milk powder and beat for about one minute to form dough.
5.Divide dough into 10g each. Put three chocolate chips into each piece of dough and roll into balls.
6.Insert two pieces of Koko Krunch to form the 'ears', chocolate rice for the "eyes", and a chocolate chip in the centre for the 'nose'.
7.Bake at 140 deg C for about 25 minutes. Depending on your oven, it may take another 5 to 10 minutes more for the cookies to be ready.
8.Leave to cool on wire rack before storing in an airtight container.

Bali Trip in 22-25 August 2010
22-25th August 2010
We went to Bali in Aug 2010 with my sister & brother in law. 4 of us had a great vacation and truly enjoyed ourself there without the kids....hahaha (i know this sound selfish but i still think we should have our own time once in a while, don't ever feel guilty about it).
We went to Bali in Aug 2010 with my sister & brother in law. 4 of us had a great vacation and truly enjoyed ourself there without the kids....hahaha (i know this sound selfish but i still think we should have our own time once in a while, don't ever feel guilty about it).
Besides, Bali is a place that suitable for honeymooners or couples...not really for kids. This is my first time to Bali and this island really have their special attraction. I dunno how to explained that but the feel of romantic is so spontaneous. My husband is a very straight and cool guy and I didn't expect he will liked Bali that much and he really suprised me in this trip. He become so romantic and co-operate thru out the holiday...I always enjoyed his company for vacations as that is the time that both of us can really let go our stress and chat alot on any subjects..
Well, I think i dont need to elaborate much about my trip of Bali since it can be easily find the information thru googles. Perhaps, Im just sharing my comment on the hotel and things that I've tried there.
1)Hotel : We stayed in Dekuta Hotel near Kuta Beach. This is very new hotel, so the rooms are nice & clean. Walking distance to beach & shopping, restaurants...quite a good choice. The room rate is about RM280+ per room per nite for 2 persons inclusive b'fast. The b'fast is a pity..not many choices and is on ala carte no buffet. They have a nice lounge on 1st floor with nice furnitures but the view is wasted as is facing the construction area...
2) Bali Orchid Spa - We tried their Spa package for couple with a very nice enviroment and landscape , a bath tub and open air shower surrounding by the trees..We reached there ard 5pm and we finished the treatment around 8pm. The charges is about RM100 per person for 2.5hours treatment, massage, body scrub, yogurt treatment on ur body and 15mins for the couple to enjoy their bathtub with roses..gosh u can imagine that. ...
3) Agent : We engaged a tour agent there call Bali Agung tour . We booked a driver and a toyota avanza to go around. The charges is only RM100 per day per car..cheap isn't it. Besides, their driver is very frenly and speak fluent english.
4) Geger Beach at Nusa Dua : This a very nice beach and as feedback by the tour guide this beach is quite new and not many tourist aware about this beach. They have some luxury resorts there but is a bit far from town . Probably, becos of that the beach is still nice and well maintained.
5) Nevertheless, a must try their the avocado juice..is so creamy and tasty, love it so much. Why Malaysia don't have avocado. Is so expensive to buy at supermarket nowadays.
Here are some pictures to share ..
All rooms facing pool view
Sunset at Jimbaran
All the seafood restaurant along at Jimbaran
Geger beach..a fisherman boat there
See how they collect all the fresh seaweed (laut rumput). I heard these stuff is good for health..
My favourite avocado juice ..
Mother's Day 2012
12.05.2012 Saturday
I have a great mom..she has been taking care of us by herself since Im at the age of 6yrs old. My dad left us to another woman..so you can imagine how tough for my mom to take care 3 children all by herself.
My mom is a good chef (on typical chinese food etc hakka & nyonya style).
She can cooked most dishes and good soups for us. . Even her grandchildren love her cooking .
So I was thinking, what to cook for her during mother's day. I want to cook something special and something that she never cook before. So I came up with this menu.
1) Prosperous Pot (Shanghainese stye)
2) Otak-Otak (Thai style)
3) Okinomiyaki (Japanese pancake)
What i did on the Okinomiyaki is we fried it using the electrical multi cooker whenever we want to eat . So everyone kind of quite enjoying to fry the pancake themself and less work for me..kekeke.
I'm glad that my mom , enjoying herself and she likes the food a lot. ..hehehe.
Happy Mother's Day !

An Unforgetable Old Friend
This post has been drafted for quite sometime as I was wondering should I post it here or not . Anyway, decided to post it so i can read it whenever i feel like reading it.
Recently, someone found me in FB and his appearance make me recall back a lot of our past which are really happy and sweet moment. Here is the story about myself and him.
I met him at my first working place in Singapore and Im just a QC there and he was a technician in workshop dept. I really don't know how he started to notice me. Myself as usual serious when im working ..suddenly someone pull my ponytail and give me a smile. The fisrt impression i got...oh who is he and he look cute and friendly. So, i just response back a smile to him. Thats how we started to know each other by just smiling when we happen to see each other at factory . I realise he do peep on me whenever I walked by his dept same it goes to me will peep to see whether is he looking at me ..i guess this is a very natural reaction when you know someone likes you and you dont hate him either..
At that time, I already had a boyfriend which he is more cool but caring type of man.
I can't remember when and how we started to come out together. At that time, my existing boyfriend has been transfered to another place and probably thats how we started to see each other. I was only 20+ at that time and truly enjoying being love, romantic etc...He really know how to cheer me up and im always laugh and happy whenever we met up. He knew i have a boyfriend and he did not expect me to commit the relationship with him and I guess he is probably not sure how much he can commit to me either.
We have been together for almost 6months i guess..really not sure .We only met up over the weekend and sometime only twice a month as he needs to go back for reservice in army camp. Finally, is time to make my decision .
When I told him my choice, he is being nice and respect my choice. At that time, I was wondering why is he not asking me to stay....Maybe he is being gentleman to respect my choice or he probably not sure himself how he feel about me??. He enjoyed the companion but thats doesn't mean he can commit the relationship with me?? All these questions being pop up in my brain... Probably because of this, I believed I make a right choice. This way will keep our sweet memory in our heart before it turns sour.

Thats how I ended the relationship with this old friend for more than 10years
Recently, he found me in FB and Im so exciting to see him and knowing his current status. He still the same with his cheerful & babyface. We started to chat with each other online and Im so glad that he still remembered every single moment in our past. He still remembered that I ever told him that he might not be a good husband to me but could be a good lover...hahaha. Well, Im sure he don't want to be my lover when he sees me now...hahaha.
Anyway, I wish to say thank you to him for being remembered me and make me feel proud about it. Honestly, till now I still not sure why is he likes me cause Im such an ordinary lady . He already married with a daughter and Im sure his wife is someone that really taking good care of him as I can see his happiness and youthful face..I feel very happy that he found someone who can give all her love to him and take care of him.

Langkawi trip - April 2012
Let me count...oh my god is almost a year that I have not been blogging here..feel so bad. Well, sometime my life is just too simple and nothing much happen around me to blog about. Besides..busy busy at work and home, no time also. That's why im kind of missing in action for a while..so, please excuse me ya.
Recently, we just went to Langkawi to celebrate my girl birthday there. Sounds proud ya ..but actually is not really la.
She is the only child at home and I thought since we need to take a break , must well just choose a special day to do it. Thats how and why we go Langkawi in April ..
We stayed there for 4days 3nites...sounds long and boring isn't it. Thats our first thought as well cause nothing much in Langkawi except duty free shopping etc..However, out of our suprise the duration is just nice and we really re-charged our battery in this trip. We were given a nice chalet in Berjaya Resort..and my girl is so exciting seeing the pools & the facilities there.
Basically, we just went out shopping on our 1st day of arrival and had our dinner at Kuah, visiting the huge Eagle and had their famous nasi lemak at Dataran Lang. Is quite far to travel from Berjaya Resort to Kuah town..anyway, we done this bit and bought whatever we need to buy at the dutyfree shop on the 1sday.
2nd day, we had our b'fast at the balcony after a long sleep at nite. Enjoying the green scenery and rainforest surrounding us. At that moment, I tell myself this kind of life is really great. The coffee and bread is nice & tasty, just because we are having it in a different enviroment. Usually, i don;t eat bread on weekend..We ate on weekday in a rush cause we need to start work on time..etc. We don't have the time to slowly taste the bread and the coffee at all..
After breakfast , we spend our time in the resort swmming, sun bathing, beach activites..etc. After all these, is time to take our afternoon nap. Then we go Pantai Cenang for our sunset dinner at Light House Restaurant and shopping again...at nite, as usual we enjoyed our alcohol drinks and snacks at nite..chatting a lot with hubby . He speak a lot during holiday..wierd guy huh, but I like it..hahaha
3rd day, same breakfast and we went to Oriental village , thought of trying the cable car unfortunately they closed for maintenance. So we just walk around , feeding fish and horse riding...sound boring but my girl enjoying it ..so what to say about it. We as parent will feel happy too when you see your child's happy all the time. Go back to hotel , rest. Daddy and girl take nap and mommy (me) go for spa. The massage and the spa in the rainforest..is really different. Dinner time, we had a luxury one in the hotel , slowly enjoying our buffet dinner in the cafe near the swimming pool with the breeze from the beach. The sound of the wave ..is really comfortable & relax.
Last day, we had breakfast at the hotel and went for a short swim after the breakfast. Check out around 12pm and time to fly back to KL.
After reading my blog, do you agree with me that 4D 3N are not that long and boring anymore. Some people likes to do shopping a lot during their holiday. For us, prefer more on the relaxing type instead. Well, different people has different perspective so just do what you think is enjoying yourself.
Here are some pictures to share on these trip. I just picked a few as the rest has been uploaded in my FB.
